The World Bank has reported that Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is the second fastest growing economy in the region. The report indicates that this country has experienced consistent economic growth over the past three years and the growth projection for this year is expected to reach 4.9 per cent.
Prime Minister Dr. Ralph E. Gonsalves, in his capacity as chair of CARICOM’s Council of Ministers for National Security and Law Enforcement (CONSLE), addressed the Committee on Hemispheric Security of the Organization of American States (OAS), calling for urgent and coordinated action to address crime and violence in the caribbean.
Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves, along with other leaders from members states of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), will meet with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Washington next week.
Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves said the Central Water and Sewage Authority has assured the government that there are ongoing efforts to address the issue of water quality within the Largo Height- Green Hill area.
