More than 700 Vincentians are expected to benefit from improved road access and community infrastructure. The Basic Needs Trust Fund (BNTF) and the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) announced this at the 11th programme launch.
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is participating in the U.S.-Caribbean Dialogue taking place at the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C. The country's delegation is led by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Security, Disaster Management and Immigration, the Hon. St. Clair Leacock, and includes the Ambassador of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to the United States of America, Lou-Anne Gilchrist.
The Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, through the World Bank-funded Unleashing the Blue Economy of the Caribbean (UBEC) Project, has reaffirmed its commitment to preserving one of the country's most treasured heritage sites with the recommencement of rehabilitative works at Fort Charlotte.
The Project Implementation Unit (PIU) of the Unleashing the Blue Economy of the Caribbean (UBEC) Project in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, Civil Aviation and Sustainable Development, commenced the first in a series of community consultations for the proposed development of Troumaca Bay. The World Bank funded project saw the first session being held at the Troumaca Government School on Tuesday, 5th May 2026.
