A painting of National Hero His Right Excellent Joseph Chatoyer was unveiled at a cocktail ceremony on Saturday, 16th March, 2024 at La Vue Hotel. The painting was done in honour of the Garifuna Homecoming 2024: Rights of Passage pilgrimage.

The St Vincent Grammar School is doing its part to promote food and nutrition security. This, as 42 students of the school were able to successfully raise, slaughter and dress broiler chickens for customers.

Tuesday, 12th March, 2024 - Forestry Officers from the Forestry Services Department participated in a Chainsaw Capacity Assessment Simulation at Montreal, as part of the Volcanic Eruption Emergency Project (VEEP).

Hundreds of Vincentians, members of the visiting Garifuna delegation and members of the Diplomatic Corp converged at the Obelisk in Dorsetshire Hill on Thursday, 14th March to pay homage to this country’s sole National Hero - Garifuna Chief The Right Excellent Joseph Chatoyer.   

Mr. Charles Cornelius James, Former Senator and Former Governor General's Deputy (Ag.), who passed away on 21st February, 2024, will be accorded an Official Funeral on Saturday, 16th March, 2024.
