On Friday, August 21st, 2021, the Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Red Cross Society donated three (3) portable power generators to the Royal Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF), at Police Headquarters, Kingstown. The donation was made by Mr. Bernard Morgan, President of the SVG Red Cross Society to Commissioner of Police, Mr. Colin John.
The Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan), in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG), handed over to the Government a twenty -foot container of supplies worth EC$63,000.
The Ministry of Education has begun the roll out of a two-year recovery programme to help students “catch-up” with learning lost due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the volcanic eruption. Having pinpointed some areas in which students need support, the Ministry is partnering with a number of agencies to put suitable measures in place. One such strategy is the ROLES initiative, funded by UNICEF.
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines now has a facility to test the quality of cannabis and other products. Caribbean Gold Standards, an analytical service laboratory was officially opened on Thursday, 12th August, 2021.
