The Public Service Union via a letter to the Governor General on August 23,2021 notified that their members had taken the “decision to withdraw the labour of all essential workers of the Crown for the period September 7th - 10th, 2021”. The Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment wishes to inform the public that during the last two and a half days of the industrial actions, health workers demonstrated their unwavering commitment and solidarity to the delivery of health care to the people of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, the healthcare system and patient care.
Last Monday, August 30, 2021, the Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines officially opened the laboratory at the Medicinal Cannabis Authority (MCA) at Rivulet; a major step in the drive to firmly established the medicinal cannabis industry.
