In exercise of the powers conferred by the Price and Distribution of Goods Act (Cap 161), approval was granted for changes to be made to the prices of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) as of Thursday August 1st, 2019, as detailed below:

Reduction in juvenile crime and violence across CARIFORUM states, is one of the expected outcomes of a five- day workshop currently being undertaken here entitled: “Case Management for Persons Working with Juvenile Offenders.” 

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Commerce, officially launched a consultancy to develop a National Export Strategy for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The launch was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' conference room on Tuesday, 23rd July, 2019.

Team leader and EU Delegate was Ms. Andrea Serpagli. The other consultant was Mr. Michael Seepersaud.

Twenty eight (28) enumerators from across the country – twenty-three (23) from the mainland, two (2) each from Bequia and Union Island, and one (1) from Canouan; were trained by officials from the Statistical Unit in the Ministry of Finance, Economic Planning, Sustainable Development, and Information Technology. 

The training was conducted at the Service Commissions Department training room, on the use of ‘CAPI’ – Computer Assisted Personal Interview; a World Bank Survey Solution, technology-based survey instrument; used to capture data from interviewees. 

This activity was carried out by the Public Sector Reform Unit (PSRU), in the Service Commissions Department, in preparation for embarking on a Customer Satisfaction Survey across the Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Public Service, during the period 5th - 23rd August, 2019. 

The objectives of the Customer Satisfaction Survey are to:

  • Determine the level of customer satisfaction with public service delivery;
  • Identify factors responsible for varying levels of satisfaction with services offered; and 
  • Gage the performance of government agencies in delivering their services.

The Public Sector Reform Unit solicits and appreciates the cooperation and support of all concerned during the period.
