The Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines has sent hurricane relief supplies to the island of St. Martin/St. Maarten which was battered by Hurricane Irma on August 6th. Irma hit the French/Dutch Island as a Category Five hurricane devastating most of the country and also causing extensive damage to the famous Princess Juliana International Airport.

The Federative Republic of Brazil celebrated its 195th anniversary of independence on September 7th, 2017.  To mark this special occasion, the Brazilian Embassy in St. Vincent and the Grenadines hosted a 'Vin d'Honneur' at the Ambassador’s residence at Ratho Mill.

The Division of Adult and continuing Education (DACE) will be celebrating Adult Education week from the 9th – 15th September 2017 under the theme: “Adult Education: Your Destiny Our Strategy, Lets Strive Together to Improve Your Reality”.

Representatives from member states of the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union (ECCU) and the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) met in St. Kitts and Nevis during the month of March for a Growth Dialogue aimed at addressing the economic decline in the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union (ECCU) over the past two decades.

Sporting activities returned to the Gomea Hard Court in the West St. George Constituency last weekend, Saturday September 2nd, with the official reopening of the re-surfaced hard court.
