The Public Health Department, based on its mandate under the Public Health Act No. 7 of 1977, wishes to inform all butchers, slaughter men and farmers that all locally harvested food animals in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines must be inspected and passed as fit for human consumption by the Public Health Department before being sold for human consumption.

Saint Vincent and the Grenadines recorded three (3) new COVID-19 cases. One case is a returning national who arrived with a negative RT-PCR test result from Canada on Monday, 7th December, 2020 and tested positive on entry screening for SARS-CoV-2, the virus which causes COVID-19.

The Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment wishes to advise the general public that as part of the its mosquito control programme for the adult Aedes aegypti mosquito, the Insect Vector Control Unit will be conducting fogging operations in Bequia commencing on 8th December, 2020.
