The Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment wishes to advise the general public that as part of the its mosquito control programme for the adult Aedes aegypti mosquito, the Insect Vector Control Unit will be conducting fogging operations in the following areas commencing at 5:00 pm daily.
Due to the spike in Covid-19 cases within the past three weeks, the Government of Guyana regrets to inform the public of not being able to fully re-open the main Airport in Guyana (CJIA). The officials have decided to further extend the possible re-opening for the end of September, after carefully assessing the situation, and fully considering the health of Guyanese, and the nation, as top priority.

All students accepted for cohort 3 of the 2020 Youth and Adult Training for Employment (YATE), programme, are reminded of the start date. Training sessions begin on Monday August 31st at the technical institutes in Kingstown, Campden Park, Barrouallie and Georgetown. Sessions begin at 3:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
