Parents and guardians of children eligible to enter kindergarten classes and Early Childhood Centres in Government-owned primary schools at the commencement of the upcoming academic year, are advised that registration will take place in all schools in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines with effect from Monday, 6th to Friday, 17th May 2019, daily at the following times:

Each year the International Telecommunications Union (ITU), celebrates International Girls in ICT Day, which is “an initiative backed by ITU Member States in Plenipotentiary Resolution 70 (Rev. Busan, 2014), to create a global environment that empowers and encourages girls and young women to consider studies and careers in the growing field of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs)”. The day is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of April yearly.

The National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO) in collaboration with the University of the West Indies Seismic Research Centre (UWI-SRC) and with support from the the Soufriere Monitoring Unit (SMU) and the UWI SRC Volcano Ready Communities Project SVG invites all residents of Fancy to a community meeting at the Fancy Government School on Thursday 11th, April, 2019, from 1: 00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Saturday, 13th April 2019, will mark 40 years since the last eruption of La Soufriere Volcano. To commemorate this 40th Anniversary, the National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO), will conduct one month of activities during the period April 4th - May 4th 2019, focusing on community preparedness for a volcanic eruption and sensitizing the public about the 'Volcanic Emergency Evacuation’ aspect of the Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR), Component of the Trade Winds Exercise 2019.
