Twenty eight (28) enumerators from across the country – twenty-three (23) from the mainland, two (2) each from Bequia and Union Island, and one (1) from Canouan; were trained by officials from the Statistical Unit in the Ministry of Finance, Economic Planning, Sustainable Development, and Information Technology. 

The training was conducted at the Service Commissions Department training room, on the use of ‘CAPI’ – Computer Assisted Personal Interview; a World Bank Survey Solution, technology-based survey instrument; used to capture data from interviewees. 

This activity was carried out by the Public Sector Reform Unit (PSRU), in the Service Commissions Department, in preparation for embarking on a Customer Satisfaction Survey across the Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Public Service, during the period 5th - 23rd August, 2019. 

The objectives of the Customer Satisfaction Survey are to:

  • Determine the level of customer satisfaction with public service delivery;
  • Identify factors responsible for varying levels of satisfaction with services offered; and 
  • Gage the performance of government agencies in delivering their services.

The Public Sector Reform Unit solicits and appreciates the cooperation and support of all concerned during the period.

Residents of Marriaqua and surrounding areas in need of certain medical supplies now have access to same, following the handing over of a quantity of items by the Marriaqua District Medical Team, to the Levi Latham Health Complex.

World Health Organisation (WHO), Director-General, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, on 17th July 2019, declared the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD), outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC).

The Public Sector Reform Unit (PSRU) within the Service Commissions Department, in conjunction with the Statistical Office will be conducting a Public Service Customer Satisfaction Survey across the Public Service of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

The Regional Integration and Diaspora Unit (RIDU) in collaboration with the CARICOM Secretariat will be conducting a workshop on the above captioned. The workshop is scheduled for the Monday 22nd – Friday 26th July, 2019 at the Sunset Shores Hotel, 8:30 am – 4:00 pm.
