The Gender Affairs Division within the Ministry of National Mobilisation, in collaboration with the National Emergency Management Office (NEMO), and the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR), will be hosting a consultation and training workshop on Gender and Vulnerable groups in Early Warning Systems (EWS). This activity is scheduled for September 10 – 11, 2019, at the Sunset Shores Hotel Conference Room, commencing at 8:30 a.m. each day.

The National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO) invites all residents and operators of businesses in Pole Yard and surrounding communities to a meeting at Pole Yard on Thursday, 12th September, 2019, at 6:00 p.m.

The spot light turned this week is on Adult Education as the Division of Adult and Continuing Education (DACE) within the Ministry of Education, National Reconciliation and Information commenced its annual 'Adult Education Week' under the theme:  “Connecting the loops through Adult Education.” 

The United Kingdom is currently expanding its diplomatic network with twelve new missions. There will be the opening of a High Commission in Kingstown, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.  

Nineteen (19) students will go down in history as the first to receive secondary education on the island of Canouan.
