Saint Vincent and the Grenadines recorded five (5) new COVID-19 cases between Wednesday,21st October and Thursday, 22nd October, 2020. All five (5) cases are travelers who arrived from the USA and Canada.
The Health Services Subcommittee of the National Emergency Committee/Coronavirus Taskforce has noted a disturbing and increasing trend of travelers to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, requesting exemptions from presenting the required negative PCR result and/or quarantining in a Tourism Authority/MOHWE approved hotel for five (5) days, as indicated.
The Surveillance Committee of the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment (MOHWE), has recorded 1155 laboratory confirmed cases of Dengue Fever as of 14th October.
A total of thirty-three (33), candidates, representing three (3), political parties, and one (1), independent; were on Tuesday, 20th October, 2020 nominated for the November 5th, 2020 General Elections.
