Minister with responsibility for Labour the Hon. Saboto Caesar said government has continued to strengthen regulations surrounding labour protection, workplace safety and non-discriminatory policies. 

Minister of Finance Hon. Camillo Gonsalves said Saint Vincent and the Grenadines was able to have consistent growth over the past three years without having to submit to precarious investments like the Citizen by Investment Programme. 

Minister of Education Hon. Curtis King said the government remains committed to working with stakeholders and partners to ensure the safety and well-being of the nation’s children.  

The World Bank has reported that Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is the second fastest growing economy in the region. The report indicates that this country has experienced consistent economic growth over the past three years and the growth projection for this year is expected to reach 4.9 per cent. 

Prime Minister Dr. Ralph E. Gonsalves, in his capacity as chair of CARICOM’s Council of Ministers for National Security and Law Enforcement (CONSLE), addressed the Committee on Hemispheric Security of the Organization of American States (OAS), calling for urgent and coordinated action to address crime and violence in the caribbean.
