A week of activities to celebrate 'International Girls in ICT Day', ended with a closing ceremony on Friday, 26th April 2018, at the National Insurance Services conference room.
The Calliaqua Anglican School is the most recent school to receive donations in the form of equipment from the National Telecommunications Regulatory commission (NTRC). The equipment, which came in the form of a projector, white board, scanner, speakers and computers are valued at approximately EC$11,000 and were donated on April 20th, 2018, in a brief ceremony held at the school.
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines has welcomed a new Russian Ambassador. His Excellency, Alexander S. Kurmaz, presented his credentials to his Excellency Sir Frederick Ballantyne, Governor General of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines on April 17th, 2018.
Today 26th April, 2018, is being celebrated globally as "Girls in ICT Day". Here in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, the Information Technology Services Division (ITSD) in the Ministry of Finance, Economic Planning, Sustainable Development & Information Technology is conducting one week of ICT training workshops for young ladies from across the island.
