The Ministry of Public Service, Consumer Affairs and sports would be conducting a one (1) day training exercise for EAP Counsellors, as part of the ministry's project to establish an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) within the Public Service of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. the one (1) day exercise, which takes the form of a retreat, the first in a series of training of the Counsellors will be held on Friday, 3rd December, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. at Hotel Alexandrina.
The Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment is closely monitoring the current situation of Hand, Foot and Mouth disease (HFMD) as there have been increased reports of cases across the country. Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease is a common viral illness among infants and children under the age of five years, but can also occur in adults.
The Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment wishes to advise the general public that as part of the its mosquito control programme for the adult Aedes aegypti mosquito, the Insect Vector Control Unit will be conducting fogging operations in the following areas commencing at 5:00 p.m. daily on the island of Saint Vincent.
The Public Health Department is requesting that all persons who are desirous of slaughtering animals for sale during the Christmas season contact their district Environmental Health Officer. Persons may also contact the Public Health Department at telephone number 456-1991 by Friday, 17th December, 2021 for registration and further information.
