The Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines will commence a housing repair programme in late August for houses on the northern ends of the country that sustained damage from the eruptions of the La Soufriere Volcano and Flooding from Hurricane Elsa.

One (1) COVID-19 positive case was reported from two hundred and fourteen (214) samples processed on Tuesday, 3rd August , 2021, resulting in a positivity rate of 0.4%.

Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of National Mobilization, Social Development, the Family, Gender Affairs, Youth Affairs, Persons with Disabilities, Cooperatives, Community Development and Housing and Informal Human Settlement, Catherine Defreitas has said that the eruptions of the La Soufriere volcano have significantly increased the social vulnerability in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines especially among the displaced population.

The multi island destination will host a mega Virtual Tourism Stakeholders’ Conference, on the 4th and 5th August, 2021, to accelerate the relaunch of the country’s tourism product, following the recent eruption of the La Soufriere volcano. The 2021 Virtual Tourism Stakeholders’ Conference is expected to provide a forum for industry leaders and stakeholders to collaboratively and strategically address concerns affecting the restart of the Tourism and Hospitality Industry. 

We are pleased to announce that the University of Wales Trinity Saint David has agreed to offer a number of scholarships for suitably qualified Nationals of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to pursue studies at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David commencing in the 2021/2022 academic year.
