Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Dr. Simone Keizer Beache is continuing to appeal for the co-operation of the entire population in the national response to the Novel Coronavirus. She made this appeal as she noted that there are Vincentians who are still not taking the COVID-19 Pandemic seriously.
UNESCO, together with Blackboard, today launched the "Blackboard Academy Caribbean Sub-regional Pilot Project 2020," a workshop designed to provide professional development for teachers in the English and Dutch Caribbean to use blended learning and online strategies competently in distance and online education in the COVID-19 era and beyond.

Saint Vincent and the Grenadines today, 1st September, confirmed one (1) new COVID-19 case. The new case belongs to the group of Swedish travelers who arrived in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines on 19th August from Grenada with negative PCR results for tests done on 15th August, 2020. The adult, a close contact of the last two positive cases announced on 26th August, initially tested negative during the first round of contact tracing. Continued screening, as per the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment’s testing protocols, has now revealed this close contact as positive for SARSCoV-2, the virus which causes COVID-19.
