Efforts aimed at making Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Tsunami-ready continues here, through a pilot project being coordinated by several international organizations.

The National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO) invites all owners, operators of businesses and residents of the coastal communities of Arnos Vale, Villa, Calliaqua, Ratho Mill, Prospect, Salt Pond, Brighton, Diamond and Stubbs to a meeting at the Calliaqua Hard Court on Thursday, 28th February, 2019, beginning at 5:00 p.m.

The St. Joseph's Convent, Kingstown, and the St. Martin's Secondary School; jointly hosted their Annual Sports Meet on Thursday, 21st February, 2019.

On Monday 25th, February, 2019, the Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Teachers Cooperative Credit Union (SVGTCCU), Ministry of Tourism, Sports and Culture and the Ministry of Education held their second (2nd) annual National School Bands Showcase launching.

The National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO) in collaboration with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the United Nations Education Sports and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO), the United States National Weather Services (USNWS) and the Caribbean Tsunami Warning Programme (CTWP) will conduct a series of Tsunami Ready Workshops in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines with different stakeholders during the period Monday 25th, February – Friday 1st, March, 2019.
