The project officially kicked off on the 2nd of November 2021, and it is a four (4) years project.

Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Consul General to Northern Ireland, Dr. Christopher Stange facilitated the donation of a brand new commercial grade zero-turn agricultural tractor lawn mower to assist the Bequia Sports Management Committee.  The machinery, valued at £12,000 (EC$45,000.00) will be used primarily for the upkeep of playing fields on Bequia.

The 9th of April, 2021 will mark one year since the last explosive eruption of the La Soufrière volcano. The National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO) in collaboration with the University of the West Indies Seismic Research Centre (UWISRC), the University of Cambridge and the University of East Anglia will launch one month of activities to commemorate the anniversary and to continue to raise awareness of the risk and science associated with the La Soufrière volcano.

The Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment wishes to advise the general public that as part of the its mosquito control programme for the adult Aedes aegypti mosquito, the Insect Vector Control Unit will be conducting fogging operations in the following areas commencing at 5:00 p.m. daily on the island of Saint Vincent.

The National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO), is making an urgent plea for members of the public NOT TO TAMPER WITH, OR REMOVE, ANY EQUIPMENT THAT IS USED TO MONITOR ACTIVITY AT THE LA SOUFRIÈRE VOLCANO.
