A retrofitted Barrouallie Clinic is now rebranded as Barrouallie Smart Health Centre, after a period of reorganization to better cater to the needs of both patients and nurses in the town of Barrouallie and its surroundings.

Chief Medical Officer Dr. Simone Keizer-Beache has disclosed that efforts to engage taxi drivers as it relates to vaccines and the Covid-19 protocols are ongoing as visitors make increasing demands to be transported only by vaccinated drivers.

Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr. Simone Keizer-Beache has highlighted that there is no evidence of any Covid-19 variants in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

On Friday, 16th July, 2021, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade’s Conference Room, the UK-SVG Friendship Trust presented three hundred and thirty thousand Eastern Caribbean Dollars (EC$330,000) to the Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines as part of their ongoing commitment to assist with the relief efforts following the series of volcanic eruptions which have had an adverse impact on many lives and livelihoods in the country.

Three (3) COVID-19 positive cases were reported from one hundred and ninety-six (196) samples processed on Friday, 16th July, 2021, resulting in a positivity rate of 1.5%. No new cases were reported from one hundred and seventy (170) samples processed on Saturday, July 17th, 2021.
