The Government and people of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines will be receiving some much needed support in their efforts to recover from the far reaching effects of the volcanic erruption, which rocked the island in early April. The Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), has provided USD416,204.00 through a partnership with UNDP Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean to strengthen recovery efforts in country.

The Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment, wishes to advise the general public that, as part of its mosquito control programme for the adult Aedes aegypti mosquito, the Insect Vector Control Unit will be conducting fogging operations in the following areas, commencing at 5:00 p.m. daily on the island of Saint Vincent.

Twenty-one (21), new COVID-19 positive cases were reported from one hundred and ninety-one (191), samples processed on Saturday, 25th September, 2021; resulting in a positivity rate of 11%.

Ninety-one (91) new COVID-19 positive cases were reported from six hundred and two (602) samples processed on Friday, 24th September, 2021, resulting in a positivity rate of 15.1%.

The Hospital Services Programme of the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment, is seeking to secure all of their oxygen cylinders currently in the possession of the general public.
