Washington, DC: An IMF mission, led by Ms. Nan Geng, visited Saint Vincent and the Grenadines during August 18-31, 2022, for the 2022 Article IV consultation discussions on economic developments and macroeconomic policies. The mission team benefited from candid and constructive discussions with public and private sector counterparts and other stakeholders and issued the following statement:
A new E-payment system has been implemented by The Tobago Cays Marine Park (TCMP). Visitors are now able to pay park user fees and mooring fees online via www.tobagocays.org, prior to them arriving at the Marine Park.
Newly appointed Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Minister Hon. Sen. Keisal Peters said she will continue to champion the ideals of this country Internationally and advocate on behalf of the people of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and their allies.
Government will place an even greater emphasis on Technical and Vocational Education. Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves, who recently assumed the portfolio for Tertiary Education, stressed the need for a major thrust in technical/vocational education "beyond what we have now....in order to provide the manpower for the paradigm shift in the economy".
