Members of the public got the opportunity to take a closer look at the services being offered at the National Insurance Service's (NIS), Golden Years centres, when they attended an open- day at the Black Point facility.
Local Stakeholders in Early Childhood Education braced the inclement weather to meet at the Methodist Church Hall on 28th September 2018 for a national consultation on “Early Identification and Intervention for Delays and Disabilities in the Early Years.”
The Caribbean region is poised to benefit from increased humanitarian assistance following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA) and humanitarian service provider, Rescue Global (RG). The signing took place September 19th, 2018, at the CDEMA Coordinating Unit in St. Michael, Barbados.
Thirty-three students of the Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Community College received bursaries on September 18th, from Generation Next SVG, a local foundation created by Senator Hon. Carlos James.The bursaries were handed out at a ceremony held at the Kingstown Methodist Church Hall.
A total of two hundred book bags and other school supplies were donated to students of the Sandy Bay Government and Secondary schools, Langley Park Government and the Pamelus Burke Primary school thanks to former resident of Georgetown, Neil Corke.
