Over the past 47 weeks there have been fifteen (15) confirmed cases of Leptospirosis in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Of this number, 80% of cases occurred in males.

The Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment is closely monitoring the current situation of hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD) as there have been confirmed cases in educational institutions in the country.

The Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment is aware of reports on an increased number of dengue fever cases in some Caribbean countries.

A four member delegation from Saint Vincent and the Grenadines led by the Hon. St. Clair Prince, Minister of Education, National Reconciliation and Information is participating in the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA) 11th Caribbean Conference on Comprehensive Disaster Management being held in St. Maarten from December 2nd - 6th, 2019.
