The Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment wishes to advise the general public that as part of the its mosquito control programme for the adult Aedes aegypti mosquito, the Insect Vector Control Unit will be conducting fogging operations in the following areas commencing at 5:00 p.m. daily on the mainland of Saint Vincent.

Monday, 7th June, 2021 – Villa, Green Hill, Carapan, Stubbs, Penniston, Spring Village, Keartons, Belair and Colonaire

Tuesday, 8th June, 2021 – Glen, Green Hill, Calder Ridge, Stubbs, Penniston, Gordon Yard, Cumberland, Barrouallie, Belair, Colonaire and Bellevue

Wednesday, 9th June, 2021 – Glen, Lodge Village, Victoria Village, Stubbs, Dubois, Coull’s Hill, Barrouallie, Welcome, Dauphine & Park Hill

Thursday, 10th June, 2021 – Calliaqua, Paul’s Avenue, Calder, Mt. Pleasant, Retreat, Trouamaca, Barrouallie, Gomea & Park Hill

Fogging operations will also take place on the island of Mayreau on June 7th and 8th, 2021, commencing at 5:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. respectively.

Please take note of the following:

  • Home and business owners in the named areas are reminded to keep their windows and doors open to allow the fog to take effect.
  • Motorists are kindly asked to take caution.
  • Persons who are suffering from any respiratory illnesses are kindly asked to take the necessary precautionary measures.
  • Residents are also encouraged to prevent the breeding of mosquitoes in their yard and to protect themselves from mosquito bites during the day.
  • Please note adverse weather conditions can affect fogging operations.
