Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) will soon establish a National Film Commission as the Ministry of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Sustainable Development, and Culture expands its offerings in the hope of attracting more movie and reality television production sets to the island.
Following the recent amendments to the Marriage (Amendment) Act, there will be a renewed effort to promote Saint Vincent and the Grenadines as a premier wedding destination in the region.
A year-round service from Toronto to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines will commence on Sunday, 7th April, 2024. The year-round service by Air Canada is an improvement from the seasonal service that was suspended during the summer months since the last two years.
Mr. Conrad Augustine Sayers, former Member of Parliament and former Representative of Central Kingstown, who passed away on Saturday, 30th December, 2023, will be accorded an Official Funeral on Monday, 29th January, 2024.
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is expected to begin the cultivation of white potatoes in February this year.
