Three (3) Vincentians have been successful in attaining Chevening Scholarships to pursue a one year Master's degree in the United Kingdom for academic year 2018/2019. The successful applicants are Natesha Alexander, Kesley Cambridge and Tedra Kirby.

On Thursday, 26th July, 2018, the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) elected, by acclamation, H.E. I. Rhonda King, Permanent Representative of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to the United Nations, as its new President at its 2019 opening session. Ambassador King is the fourth female, the first woman from the Latin American and Caribbean region and the first woman from the Global South to serve as the President of ECOSOC.
