More than 100 local traditional cannabis cultivators benefited from training in best practices cultivation on Tuesday, 18th February, 2020, as the Medicinal Cannabis Authority (MCA) continues to ensure that this group of investors stay ahead of the game, and are better placed to benefit from the licit production of medicinal cannabis in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

The National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO) invites all residents of Calliaqua and surrounding communities to a meeting at the Calliaqua Town Hall on Wednesday, 19th February, 2020 at 5:30 p.m.  The purpose of this community meeting is to present the draft Tsunami Inundation Maps for Calliaqua and to discuss the Tsunami Community Evacuation Plans.

The Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Meteorological Service issued a 72 hour weather outlook indicating that “haze intrusion is forecast to thicken across Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) from Wednesday morning, February 19th, with improvement likely around Friday, 21st February, 2020 .” This haze intrusion is due to the progression of a thick concentration of Saharan dust haze located in the central Atlantic.

The routine clinic and other services normally accessed at the Evesham Health Centre have been temporarily relocated with immediate effect until further notice.

The Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment (MOHWE) wishes to inform the nation that contrary to claims being made on social media, there are currently no cases of COVID-19 or Coronavirus 19 disease in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
