Four (4) new COVID-19 positive cases were reported from one hundred and seventy-nine (179) samples collected on Saturday, 16th October , 2021, resulting in a positivity of 2.2%. Eleven (11) rapid antigen positives cases were reported from flu clinics on Saturday, 16th October , 2021.

Ten (10) new COVID-19 positive cases were reported from eighty-two (82) samples collected on Sunday, 17th October, 2021, resulting in a positivity of 12.2%. One (1) of the new cases was detected on entry screening in a fully vaccinated passenger from the United States of America.

Thirty-two (32) new COVID-19 positive cases were reported from three hundred and fifty- three (353) samples collected on Saturday, 9th October , 2021, resulting in a positivity of 9.1%. Nineteen (19) rapid antigen positives cases were reported from flu clinics on Saturday, 9th October, 2021.

The United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA), has approved a request from Pfizer, Inc. to extend the shelf-life of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for an additional three months - from six to nine months - when the vaccine is stored at a temperature of -90 to -60 degrees celsius.

Private candidates who wish to register for the January 2022 Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC), CSEC Examinations, are hereby informed that registration will take place from 20th October to 1st November, 2021.
