Following a series of meetings on Thursday, 14th December, 2023 at the Argyle International Airport, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, His Excellency Nicolas Maduro and the President of The Co-operative Republic of Guyana, His Excellency Mohamed Irfaan Ali signed an 11-point peace declaration to relax tensions over the Essequibo border controversy.

Saint Vincent and the Grenadines’ Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Sustainable Development and Culture, the Hon. Carlos James, has made the call for greater inclusion of all island states at the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCC).

The Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is in the process of implementing a number of digital transformation initiatives across the various ministries and departments that will enhance the daily operations and improve the services offered.

While Caribbean islands rush to develop tourism economies, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines’ Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Sustainable Development and Culture, the Hon. Carlos James has cautioned that carbon emissions from travel and tourism is forecasted to increase by 25% in 2030.
