The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Commerce is pleased to inform of the participation of the High Commissioner of the Republic of South Africa to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in activities commemorating the life and legacy of Nelson Mandela.  

Her Excellency, Xoliswa Nomathamsanqa Ngwevela, will be in state from July 15-20, 2018. The visit by Her Excellency not only serves as a testimony of the cordial relations between Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and South Africa but serves to highlight the significance of the centennial celebrations of Nelson Mandela in the development of both countries. 

Her Excellency will be present to participate in the 'Centennial Relay and Freedom Songs' Concert to be held on Sunday, 15th July, 2018, the Nelson Mandela Lecture on Monday, 16th July, 2018, the movie night of the film 'Invictus' on Tuesday, 17th July, 2018, the Nelson Mandela Dress Day and naming of the Nelson Mandela Highway on Wednesday, 18th July, 2018, as well as the Nelson Mandela Recognition ceremony on Friday, July 20, 2018. 

The Ministry takes this opportunity to invite the general public to join in the highly anticipated centennial celebrations of the great South African icon – Nelson Mandela.
