The Ministry of Education, in collaboration with the Department of Sports, Athletics SVG and the National Games Committee held the Inter-Primary Schools' Athletics Championship on Wednesday 21st, March, 2018, at the Arnos Playing Field.
A total of 54 schools participated in this year's competition, with the Stephanie Browne Primary School entering the finals leading on of 64 points. In the end, the Kingstown Preparatory School, last year's defending champions, retained their title with a total of 276 points. Second place went to the Buccament Government (Dubois Government) with a total of 243 points, while the Stephanie Browne Primary School placed third with a total of 199 points.
Individually, for the female category, the Kingstown Preparatory School placed first with a total of 166 points. The Stephanie Browne Primary School placed second with a total of 116 points and the Buccament Government School placed third with a total of 103 points.
For the males, the Buccament Government School placed first with a total of 140 points. The Kingstown Preparatory School placed second with a total of 110 points, while the Questelles Government School placed third with a total of 93 points.
