Welcome to the official website of the Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

Saint Vincent and the Grenadines will join countries across the world in celebrating “World Consumer Rights Day” on 15th March, under the theme “Making Digital Market Places Fairer”.

The rapid growth of the Internet, mobile phones and other digital technologies has created not only opportunities, but challenges for consumers. The people of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines must be made aware of their rights and responsibilities as consumers, who interface digitally with suppliers from all over the world. This is why the Department of Trade, within in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Commerce, is partnering with the National Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (NTRC), Information Technology Services Division (ITSD), National Centre for Technology Innovations (NCTI), The National Consumers Associations, and the Ministry of Education, National Reconciliation, Ecclesiastical Affairs and Information, in its drive to create awareness.

This year, just over a month of scheduled activities leading up to 15th March has been planned. See scheduled lists of activities below, which include some noteworthy tips for consumers who may or may not want to shop online.
