Welcome to the official website of the Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

The Public Sector Reform Unit in the Service Commissions Department will once again be co-ordinating Public Servants Patriotic Week 2017, which will be celebrated under the theme “Engendering Respect, Pride and Compliance for Our Governance in the Public Service.”

The activities will commence on Monday 16th October, and culminate on Thursday 26th October, and is intended to coincide with the nation’s 38th Anniversary of Independence celebrations.

The objective of the week is to engender national pride, love and respect for fellowmen and country, as well as to sensitise Public Servants on the Civil Service Orders (CSO).

Three activities are slated to celebrate the week:

  • 16th - 31st October - Office Independence Décor and Patriotic Dress up
  • 20th October - The Civil Service Orders (CSO) in Imagery, Words and Action
  • 23rd - 31st October -  National colours attire by Public Servants

The event dubbed ‘The CSO in Imagery, Words and Action’ seeks to highlight the creativity of Public servants, and strengthen relationships. The main objective however, is to sensitise Public Servants on the rules and regulations that govern their conduct and functions in the Public Service. The aforementioned event will take place on Friday, 20th October, at the Peace Memorial Hall and will commence at 1:00 p.m.

All public servants are therefore asked to give their full support and participation in the events.
