Welcome to the official website of the Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

The OECS Commission, through the World Bank-funded Unleashing the Blue Economy of the Caribbean (UBEC) Project, launched the third and final call for proposals under Window 1 of the Regional MSME Matching Grants Programme on Friday, October 30, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. via Zoom.

Initiated by the OECS Commission and funded by the World Bank, the programme offers grants ranging from US$5,000 to US$25,000 to eligible micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in Grenada, Saint Lucia, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. It targets businesses in the fisheries, marine tourism, and waste management sectors, providing opportunities to invest in equipment, improve operations, and adopt sustainable practices.

In the fisheries sector, funding can support investments in marine tracking equipment, cold storage facilities, and sea moss farming equipment. Marine tourism businesses can benefit from upgrades to diving and safety equipment, including regulators, as well as investments in environmentally friendly boat engines.

For waste management enterprises, the programme offers opportunities to acquire or upgrade recycling equipment, purchase machinery for sargassum removal, and improve waste collection, transportation, and processing. These investments can help businesses turn discarded materials into valuable products while supporting cleaner communities and coastal environments.

To be eligible, businesses must:

  • Operate in Grenada, Saint Lucia, or Saint Vincent and the Grenadines;
  • Have been in operation for at least two years;
  • Employ 50 persons or fewer;
  • Have annual revenue of EC$1 million or less; and
  • Have a business bank account.

Women entrepreneurs are especially encouraged to apply.

Business owners in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines are encouraged to attend the virtual launch to learn more about the programme and prepare to participate in this final Window 1 call.
