The Ministry of Health, Wellness, Environmental Health and Energy (MOHWEE) wishes to inform the public that, through its routine laboratory and antimicrobial resistance surveillance systems, four patients with wounds with a drug-resistant bacterium known as Carbapenem-Resistant Acinetobacter baumannii (CRAB), with the NDM resistance mechanism, have been identified at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital (MCMH).
