Welcome to the official website of the Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

Chief Personnel Officer Arlene Regisford-Sam has praised retired public officers for their decades of dedicated service to the government and people of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

Speaking at a retirement cocktail hosted by the Public Sector Reform Unit (PSRU) at Sandals Resort, Regisford-Sam said retirees can leave the Public Service with a sense of satisfaction, knowing that their commitment and hard work have created a lasting legacy.

Regisford-Sam thanked the retirees on behalf of the government for their years of dedicated service and wished them every success and fulfillment in retirement. “As part of the Public Service Week activities, it is important to recognise not only our current public servants but also to honour our esteemed retirees for their dedication, hard work, and enormous contributions to their respective ministries and departments.”

She explained that the recognition ceremony forms part of the ministry’s Public Service Week activities and demonstrates the government’s commitment to acknowledging the invaluable contributions of both current public servants and those who have completed their careers in the Public Service.

Regisford-Sam also highlighted the important role of the Personnel Department in managing the government’s human resource function through policies and programmes that support the professional development and well-being of public officers throughout their careers.

Congratulating the retirees on reaching this important milestone, the Chief Personnel Officer encouraged them to reflect with pride on the positive impact they have made through their years of service.

The ceremony honoured public officers who retired or are scheduled to retire between July 1st, 2025, and June 30th, 2026.
