The Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, in partnership with the Government of the Republic of India, today, Monday, June 1, launched the newly rehabilitated hard court at Edinboro in West Kingstown.
The project, funded by the Government of India, was completed as part of a community enhancement initiative called the “Quick Impact Projects”. Rehabilitation works included resurfacing the court floor and installing new fencing around the facility. The upgraded hardcourt now provides a safer, more modern space for recreational and sporting activities for the Edinboro community and surrounding areas.
The official launch ceremony took place at the facility and saw attendance from, among others, H.E. Subhash Gupta, High Commissioner of India; Hon. Daniel Cummings, Minister for Health, Wellness, Environmental Health, and Energy and Parliamentary Representative for West Kingstown; Hon. Dwight Fitzgerald Bramble, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, Foreign Investment, and Diaspora Affairs; and Minister of Youth, Sports, Culture, and Creative Industries, Hon. Kaschaka Cupid.
This project reflects continued cooperation between Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and India in advancing community development and progress for West Kingstown residents.
