Welcome to the official website of the Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

On May 20th, 2026, the Public Sector Reform Unit (PSRU) held a meet-and-greet for public speaking competitors at the University of the West Indies (UWI) Open Campus.

Mrs. Emma Jackson, Director of the PSRU within the Ministry of National Security, Disaster Management and Immigration, stated that “the public speaking competition will take place on Monday, June 22nd, 2026, at the Methodist Church Hall. On Tuesday, June 23rd, 2026, there will be a march around Kingstown following the competition, and each ministry will also host a street exhibition outside its building after the march.”

Jackson also noted that the PSRU is collaborating with two organizations: the Lions Club South and Toastmasters. According to Jackson, eight (8) competitors from various ministries across the public service will participate in the competition.

Sue-Mona Moses, a representative of the Lions Club South, noted that this is the fifth year of the public speaking competition. She explained the rules for each category within the competition and provided pointers to competitors.
