Welcome to the official website of the Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

A recent Union Island consultation attracted personnel from various agencies, each with specific roles: the Ministry of Grenadines Affairs (policy oversight), Airports and Seaports (infrastructure operations), National Security (public safety), Disaster Management and Immigration (crisis response and border control), the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (law enforcement), Coast Guard (maritime security), Customs (import/export regulation), Fisheries (resource management), and the Modern Port Operating Company (port management), among others.

Aimed at identifying issues affecting the Southern Grenadines, Minister of Higher Education, Grenadines Affairs, Airports and Seaports, Hon. Terrance Ollivierre, led the consultation with support from Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Security, Disaster Management and Immigration, Hon. Major St. Clair Leacock. The consultation focused on the construction, deployment, and management of moorings, registration of small vessels, yachts and water taxis, security, harbour management, waterfront business operations, solid waste management, and littering.

Residents voiced various concerns, which the Ministers promised to address. Minister Ollivierre noted that many of the issues highlighted are important, and the government will do everything in its power to manage several issues affecting the islands. The Area Representative asked residents to be patient as the government moves forward.
