Seventeen (17) primary schools from across Saint Vincent and the Grenadines will participate in the 2026 edition of the Inter Primary School Developmental Cricket Competition, being realized by the Division of Sports and Physical Activities in collaboration with the SVG Cricket Association.
The developmental cricket competition which commences on Wednesday, 27th May, will feature modified cricket rules and is being used as a platform to infuse the fundamental cricketing skills at the grassroot level.
This year marks the second consecutive year of a developmental cricket competition, after which, the primary school students will return to competing in competitions that observe the official rules that govern the sport.
The seventeen competing teams have been placed into four zones from which they will contest round robin preliminary matches between Wednesday, 27th May and Tuesday, 2nd June, 2026 at the London Playing Field, Stubbs Playing Field, Belair Playing Field and the Buccament Bay Playing Field. Thereafter, the top two teams for each zone will advance to the knock-out stages.
The 2026 Inter Primary School Developmental Cricket Competition will bring the curtains down on calendared school sporting activities held under the auspices of the Division of Sports and Physical Activities.
