The Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines has formally ushered in a new era of leadership with the swearing-in of Cabinet Ministers, Senators, and the Attorney General at an official ceremony held December 2nd, 2025 at the Arnos Vale playing field. The event marked the first major step in the governance transition following the recent General Elections.
Fourteen (14) Cabinet Ministers, two (2) Ministers of State (Senators), and the Attorney General took their Oaths of Office before Her Excellency Dame Susan Dougan, Governor General of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, signaling their readiness to serve with integrity, dedication, and accountability.


Prime Minister Dr. The Hon. Godwin Friday, who will also serve as Minister of Finance, Legal Affairs and Justice, Economic Planning, and Private Sector Development, expressed confidence in the new team’s ability to chart a progressive and unified path for the nation. He emphasized that the administration begins its term with a clear mandate for national renewal, inclusive growth, strengthened institutions, and enhanced public trust.
In his address, Prime Minister Friday affirmed his government’s commitment to unity and progress:
“This new Cabinet represents the strength, diversity, and talent of the Vincentian people. Together, we will lead with integrity, transparency, and a deep sense of duty to improve the lives of all citizens. This is a moment of renewal for our nation.”
The ceremony signals the official start of the new government’s work as Saint Vincent and the Grenadines enters a new chapter of leadership and national development.
