The Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in collaboration with the Gumbolimbo Group commenced the construction of the Clifton Ferry Terminal and Market on 21st August, 2025.
The ferry terminal component will provide shelter to persons awaiting ferry service so that they can do so in a comfortable and safe environment.
The market component of the facility will replace the Clifton Market which was destroyed as a result of the passage of Hurricane Beryl on 1st July, 2024. Approximately twenty vendors plied their trade at the Clifton Market prior to the passage of Hurricane Beryl. This facility will provide improved market conveniences via the provision of twenty vending shops and stalls.
An official thanksgiving and handing over ceremony is planned for Saturday, 11th October, 2025.
