Welcome to the official website of the Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

Work is nearing completion on the Buccament Bay Ring Road Project. A vital infrastructure upgrade aimed at improving accessibility, safety, and traffic flow within the community.

The 550-metre-long road begins at the Buccament Polyclinic and extends to the beach, forming a one-way ring road designed for clockwise traffic. It features a 4.2-metre-wide paved surface, integrated sidewalks, and a comprehensive drainage system to benefit both motorists and pedestrians.

Project Manager Damion Allen highlighted the importance of the development for the surrounding institutions, noting that “the newly constructed sidewalks are particularly important for the nearby school and the Polyclinic, providing safer and more convenient access for pedestrians.”

He further noted that proper drainage systems are being installed to effectively channel water runoff from the Leeward Highway, which forms part of the final stages of the works. Funded at a cost of EC $1.976 million, the Buccament Bay Ring Road is part of the Government’s broader commitment to strengthening road infrastructure across Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

Once completed, the project will significantly enhance community mobility and provide safer, more reliable access to key public spaces, including healthcare and recreational facilities.
