Welcome to the official website of the Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

To commemorate the 113th anniversary of St. Vincent Girls’ High School, the Science Department hosted a Science Career fair on Thursday, 9th April, 2024.

The department evoked scientific thinking in the students by exposing them to different professions in the field of science as well as engaging in exciting science experiments.

The aim was to expose the young female students of the GHS and neighboring schools to the multiplicity of careers in the science field in and around Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The aim was to help guide their choices in professions in their ever-present future as well as to captivate their interest in science using live experiments.

The Career Fair featured professions from various science entities across SVG. There were exhibitors from; SVGCC Division of Nursing Education, (NEMO) Climate Change Unit, Energy Unit, Ministry of Agriculture Fisheries Et. al, Surveys Department, SVGCC Division of Technical and Vocational Education, Ministry of Health: Nutrition Unit, The Bureau of Standards, S.C.I.E.N.C.E, and a young entrepreneur (My Crown of Curls). \
