Today, Friday 19th January, the Information Technology Services Division Division (ITSD), in the Ministry of Finance, Economic Planning, Sustainable Development and Information Technology, will be conducting an Electronic Documentation and Records Management System (EDRMS)/Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Project awareness campaign at the site of the Old Treasury Building in Kingstown.
The campaign is aimed at sensitising the general public on the coming on stream of the EDRMS/PKI, which is expected to be fully implemented in this year.
The Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, as part of its National Information and Communication Technology Strategy and Action Plan (2010 to 2015), decided to establish a Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), which will serve to ensure that documents exchanged between ministries are secured with information integrity, identity verification and undeniable authentication.
