Saint Vincent and the Grenadines  recorded one (1) new COVID-19 case on Thursday, 26th November, 2020. The new case is a returning national who arrived with a negative RT-PCR test result from the USA on Saturday November 21, 2020 on American Airlines, tested negative on entry screening and on day five (5) tested positive for SARS-CoV-2, the virus which causes COVID-19.  The adult was in mandatory quarantine and will be isolated until cleared by two negative tests.

Minister with responsibility for the Gender Department, Hon. Orando Brewster, delivered a speech to commemorate the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, and the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.

The Republic of China (Taiwan) on Monday, 16th November, 2020, handed over a cheque in the amount of two hundred and twelve thousand US dollars (US$ 212,000) to the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment, as part of the Capacity Building Project for the Prevention and Control of Diabetes in SVG.

The Surveillance Committee of the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment has recorded sixteen hundred and seventeen (1617) laboratory confirmed cases of dengue fever as of November 14, 2020, epidemiological week 46. There has been a consistent decrease in the number of laboratory confirmed cases of dengue fever since epidemiological week 41, the week ending October 10, when 194 cases were recorded. There has also been a decrease in clinically diagnosed cases of dengue fever.

The Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment wishes to advise the general public that as part of the its mosquito control programme for the adult Aedes aegypti mosquito, the Insect Vector Control Unit will be conducting fogging operations in the following areas commencing at 5:00 p.m. daily.
