On Tuesday, February 24, 2026, the Ministry of Tourism, Civil Aviation, and Sustainable Development welcomed the MS Bolette to our shores with an official plaque exchange ceremony. 

National Heroes’ and Heritage Month 2026 will be celebrated under the theme “Appreciating Our Identity, Preserving Our Heritage and Pride”. The Minister of Social Welfare and Community Empowerment, Ecclesiastical Affairs, and National Heritage, Hon. Shevern John, has called for an appreciation of our people’s resilience as we enter Heritage Month. 

The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Bureau of Standards (SVGBS) has reaffirmed its commitment to quality assurance and national development by hosting a comprehensive sensitization session aimed at strengthening standards compliance across key sectors.

Participants from as far as Lowmans Leeward visited the Centre for Enterprise Development Inc. (CED)’s Business Clinic in Mesopotamia to take advantage of the expertise offered.

Fisherfolk and seafarers are being urged to take every possible precaution when venturing out to sea to remain safe as well as to report any activity which seems abnormal.
