Thirteen(13) million dollars have been allocated to the upgrade of capital city Kingstown in this year’s budget. Minister of Finance Hon. Camillo Gonsalves said this forms part of improving the overall aesthetic and functionality of the city as development continues in transforming the capital.

Lower rates on newer, imported vehicles is the intended outcome as Government implements a new regime in calculating the surcharge on imported vehicles.

Prime Minister, Hon. Dr. Ralph Gonsalves, has maintained that both this country‘s economic and political climate is stable and investment friendly. In fact, the Prime Minister noted that this country has experienced a 5 percent economic growth for 2022 and IMF’s projections for 2023 said the economy is expected to grow by 6 percent.

Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG), Hon. Dr. Ralph Gonsalves, has called on government officials in the United States of America (USA), to do something about the easy access to guns, and the easy exportation of guns from the USA to Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) countries.

The Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines has gone ahead to purchase the first fifty (50), timbre pre-fabricated houses from Guyana. This first set of houses is expected to arrive by the end of March 2023.
