The government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is expanding its housing recovery and resilience programme with the delivery of prefabricated homes to vulnerable families, as efforts continue to support those affected by Hurricane Beryl and other natural disasters.

The National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO) convened its 2026 Hurricane/Wet Season National Climate Outlook Forum on June 1st, 2026, at the NIS Conference Room to review seasonal climate forecasts and strengthen national preparedness efforts.

The United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) line ministers and UNESCO Regional Director for the Caribbean, Dr. Eric Falt, met on June 3rd, 2026, in the Cabinet Room at the Financial Complex in Kingstown to discuss areas of collaboration aimed at advancing national and regional development priorities.

The Ministry of Fisheries, Marine and Land Conservation and Climate Resilience remains committed to building a fisheries sector that is inclusive, climate resilient, science-based, and people-centred.
