The Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment wishes to advise the general public that as part of the its mosquito control programme for the adult Aedes aegypti mosquito, the Insect Vector Control Unit will be conducting fogging operations in the following areas commencing at 5:00 p.m. daily on the island of Saint Vincent.

The United Kingdom (UK) Government has donated fourteen thousand (14,000) doses of the Oxford Astra Zeneca Vaccines to the Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to assist in the fight against Covid-19. The vaccines arrived in the state on Friday, 6th August, 2021, at the Argyle International Airport.

The Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment was informed this morning by CARPHA of the COVID-19 sequencing results of samples received at CARPHA on July 27th, 2021. One sample detected a variant of concern (VOC) – B.1.617.2 - Delta variant.

Minister of National Mobilization the Hon. Dr. Orando Brewster has said that his ministry is in the process of implementing the La Soufriere Relief Grant phase two which will focus on family life education and client empowerment for five hundred (500) households from the red and orange zones.

The Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines will commence a housing repair programme in late August for houses on the northern ends of the country that sustained damage from the eruptions of the La Soufriere Volcano and Flooding from Hurricane Elsa.
